Fundraising is one of the most important—and strategic—ways to help Democrats win up and down the ballot.

That’s why Swing Left offers the tools you need to raise money for competitive races where every dollar makes a real difference.

You and your personal network—and thousands of people like you across the country—can beat the Big Money Republicans at their own game.

On average, each Swing Left fundraising page raises about $2,000. These individual fundraisers add up—and help provide critical financial support to Democrats in key races up and down the ballot.

How it works

Choose a slate of candidates to support

Your fundraiser directly benefits Democrats running in must-win races plus the organizing infrastructure that helps make wins possible.

Create your page in just a few minutes

Customize and publish your fundraising page where you can collect and track high-impact donations from your friends and family.

Share with your friends and family

Share your fundraising page with your network via text, email, or social media, or host an event and encourage folks to donate in-person!

Level up your fundraising

Make an effective ask:

Tie your fundraising communications to what people care about. There’s so much at stake, and you can connect the dots about how people’s donation will make a difference on the issues that are important to them.

Tailor your messages to your audience. A text to your friends might look different from an email to your neighbors, or a post on social media.

Giving is contagious. Consider promoting a donation match, a fundraising challenge, thank you shoutouts to folks who’ve contributed, and consistently share your progress.

Remember to follow up:

Send thank you notes and updates as you continue raising toward your goal! This is a simple way to make contributors feel appreciated, part of something larger, and know their donation didn’t just go into a black hole. Simply click the “stats” button on your published page to view a list of your contributors, including their location and email address.

  • Tip: If you’re a Swing Left group leader, send these folks a special invitation to join your group if they haven’t already!

Host an event (virtual or in-person!)

All across the country, people like you have been hosting fundraising events, from small, friends-and-family gatherings in their homes, to headline-grabbing parties, and everything in between.
